Who We Are
We founded Stonecastle Pictures in 2008 on a commitment to create branded video content that places a relentless focus on effective storytelling. Over the years, we’ve distinguished ourselves by our ability to capture deeply personal performances from real people, which has led to award-winning work in healthcare, education, non-profits, and advertising.
Our Values
We believe that part of what makes Stonecastle different is our culture — the way you experience each and every one of us. For both employees and our family of freelance creatives, we aim to model values that make us the kind of people you trust and enjoy working with.
Nobody likes a know-it-all. Listening is the first step to learning, and that’s our job: to take the time to absorb the problems, pain points, and needs of our clients so we can provide them with the absolute best solutions.
It’s important to act with integrity and honesty, but doing good means more. It’s a posture of action that doesn’t sit by when a need or opportunity arises. While others watch, we aspire to be people who jump in and do.
In an industry like ours that’s always changing, we’ve got to be life-long learners who stay on top of trends, technology, and new ways of doing things. That also means we must not become too precious about the way we did things “in the old days.” The new kids don’t care.
Legendary basketball coach John Wooden made this phrase famous, but we believe it applies to us, too. He said it best, “I want quickness under control. Otherwise, you’ll have activity without achievement. I don’t care for activity without achievement.”
No half measures here. If you’re on our team, then you’re playing to win. That means thinking big, working together, flexing some creative muscle, and having fun.
We sweat, so our clients don’t have to. (Just don’t forget to proceed to #9.)
We aim to do more than just satisfy our customers. We want them to experience delight, so we’re always looking for ways to anticipate needs, earn trust, and exceed expectations.
It’s easy to get distracted by shiny new gizmos, trends, and techniques. But those things come and go. You know what outlasts them all? A solid, well-told story. Get the foundation right first, then worry about the razzle-dazzle.
We love telling stories for a living, but there’s more to life than work. When it’s time to go home, we strive to be good neighbors, attentive friends, and to live great stories of our own.
